Analyze which of their settlements have balefire buildings (the ones that only give corruption), take those and put slayer shrines and a wall in them if possible. What I suggest you do is curb their corruption. Unfortunately there's not much you can do about the endless onslaught of legendary lords other than wiping them out completely. They just keep recruiting buffer stacks in some corner and giving it to them when they're back. What the AI does is as soon as a legendary lord comes back from wounded, it replaces an already existing stack with him, which gives the impression of them coming back with an awesome stack. And Vlad, when he has the Von Carstein Ring, flat out respawns in one turn. If you guys were building cheapish Dwarf armies to kill VC what units would you insist on having?ĭo the VCs have Isabella? It's possible she has the blood chalice of bathori, which will make all of his characters' wound timer be 1 turn less. I'd rather fight VC for now due to them having no ranged units. To be fair, they have offered peace, but there is one massive Tomb Kings kingdom to my south who hates them, so I think if I get peace with the VC then TK will just start a war with me instead.
I will try one last crusade against them. It will take forever though and their necromancy means that every big battle (win or lose) they get more and better instant summons in the area+ recruitment if in their own province. Strike a blitzkreig through their least corrupted areas. With enough burning, sacking, and corruption decline Dwarves will be able to press through them if anyone can mid-end game.ĭon't forget either that your artillery units allow you to attack walled settlements without building seige equipment. Press foward and stack heroes to lower corruption in provinces that aren't gaining much/turn do everything you can to undermine them away from your frontlines where their armies aren't.
